What is Won Buddhism?
Won Buddhism is a new Buddhist order that focuses on
materialism in the modern world. It was founded by Sot'aesan
in 1916, South Korea.

Is Won-Buddhism Buddhism?
Yes, however Won Buddhism has its own founder who is known by
his dharma title Sot'aesan (1891–1943). Won Buddhism is a modernized
form of Korean Buddhism based on Sot'aesan’s experience
of enlightenment and his vision.

Do you have regular dharma gatherings?
Yes, dharma gatherings are held on Sundays from 11AM to 12PM
followed by a lunch served by the temple. We also offer a Thursday gathering for meditaion class from 7PM to 8PM.

Can I visit the temple anytime?
Yes, please contact Reverend Kim and let her know you will be stopping
by ahead of time. If you want to visit our Temple for your private practice
or would like to talk one on one with the reverends feel free to call

Are there any fees that need to be paid for attending
the Dharma service or Mediation class?
No fees are required to attend any temple gatherings
but donations are welcomed.
